- understanding the regulation and role of sexual dimorphism in the mammalian kidney;
- comparative single cell analysis of the mouse and human kidney to identify shared and human-specific developmental processes;
- development-informed optimization of human organoid kidney models;
- identifying and optimizing mechanisms of renal repair in response to acute injury; and
- disease-in-dish modeling and therapeutic discovery with genetically engineered human kidney organoids.
